Any fashion trainers that are as comfortable as sports trainers?

I'm looking for a pair of really spongy, comfy trainers, that will be as comfortable as a pair of Reebok/ Nike type sports trainers, but I could wear for walking to school, shopping trips, every day wear. Ideally in leopard or with a bit of bling to them, and a shaped foot bed like you'd normally get in trainers.
Do such thing exist? I usually wear skirts or dresses, will I look ridiculous??

Nike Internationalist - I wear them with everything, including skirts and dresses. They are blissfully comfortable and I always get compliments on them. Not sure you can find them in a leopard print though

Thankyou for your recommendations. Sorry they’re not quite what I’m looking for. They are both still trainers (sorry, what I would call a sports trainer) and what I am looking for are what we would have called pumps? Like these Dune ones but I was hoping for a recommendation

I have Stan Smiths and Superstars and they're both just as comfy (if not more) than my Nike Internationalists.

Mint Velvet trainers are soooo comfortable - I find mine far more comfy than my sports ones! Not sure if they have leopard ones out at the moment though.

hopeishere · 16/04/2019 21:11

I have Stan Smiths as well and find them really comfy.

ToManderleyAgain · 17/04/2019 06:42

You could try Vionic www.vionicshoes.co.uk/women/lifestyle-sneakers.html

ToManderleyAgain · 17/04/2019 06:59

I have a pair of Vionic boots and they have a contoured orthotic footbed. This makes them super comfortable for all day walking on pavements etc. You can even try wearing for 30 days and return for a full refund if you don’t get on with them.

I too find Stan Smiths comfy - though they dont have the padded spring of sport trainers. Nike air force ones come in a leopard version (just heel part) and have a more ‘pump’ sole.

golightlytoday · 17/04/2019 07:50

@321zerobaby I have those dune ones and are really comfy and lovely to wear

youarenotkiddingme · 17/04/2019 08:06

I have a pair of Nike pumps like the leopard ones you linked too. Mine are pink!
Great with denim skirt, skater style dress or jersey dress. Got the arch support in them too.

I find them as comfy as my trainers and I wear trainers for work and to the gym so most of the time!

Fazackerley · 17/04/2019 08:10

Stan smiths. I have a slim sports insole in mine and they are like slippers.

Seconding Vans, they are so comfy. I have a few pairs. I bought a new pair of pewter and black ones a couple of weeks ago that I have worn pretty much every day since I got them.

Like @youarenotkiddingme suggested, I would like arch support, and don't think Vans have that? Those pink ones are pretty.
Thankyou for all your suggestions, I shall look them all up.

Thankyou @golightlytoday, can you tell me do they have the arch support, and are the insoles soft/spongey like a normal trainer?

I have a pair of Onisuka Tiger trainers that are unbelievably soft and comfortable. I can't see the pair I have immediately and don't have time to search fully - they are slip on in the sense they have laces but they are dummy laces but have a fuller sole. They aren't the ones here described as slip on.

youarenotkiddingme · 17/04/2019 17:20

The Nike pumps I have are "court royale". They also do a 'blazer' range which are a bit more blingy but I don't know about arch support etc.

GVmama · 17/04/2019 17:29

Air and Grace? They're a bit more expensive but look fabulous.

Pedagoogle · 17/04/2019 17:39

Whoever put that Vionic link up: MY EYES!!!!!

Next thing you’ll be sending links to those Velcro velour slippers for the poor OP! Bling not bleurgh Grin

Sorry I can’t recommend anything myself OP, I’m after the same thing, hence clicking the link!

golightlytoday · 17/04/2019 18:43

@321zerobaby I normally wear Adidas ST ultra boost. So about the most spongy and supportive trainers.

These are as spongy but for not specialist trainers are really spongy. They do have arch supports. Not again as much as really high ones. But I have totally flat feet and converse etc wreck my hips and back to wear. I can't wear flip flops for example either. But these have been fine. And I've walked in them 15km the other day.

321zerobaby · 23/04/2019 22:42

@golightlytoday, Thanks for the info, that really helps. They were 20% off today at John Lewis so I have ordered them Smile
