Weekend in Northumberland with DH- what to wear?

DH has booked us a night away this weekend Smile probably sight seeing in day and restaurant/hotel bar in evening. Don't want to look too try hard by overly dressing up but want to look like I've made an effort.

I struggle with casual wear as I'm either at work, in exercise gear or just sweatshirt and leggings or if we go somewhere 'nice' I'll wear a dress.

Size 12-14 with big tummy, £100 to spend?

Thanks

A warm coat and walking boots if you go outside. Chilly breeze at the moment in the North.

Something warm and waterproof

PotteringAlong · 15/04/2019 15:45

Layers. It’s bloody freezing up here at the minute Grin

Thanks for replies. We do live in North, albeit not as far as Northumberland so am used to being cold! Forecast is 16 degrees for Saturday so fingers crossed.

I guess I just want something that doesn't instantly scream 'Mum' as I feel my wardrobe does. Even when not with DCs I feel like I'm in that trap of dressing like 90% of other women I know. Except many of them are thinner and more groomed! That's another thread I guess.

I just want something more 'fashionable' for want of a better word. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

Where to shop for a nice but springlike jumper- yellow or pink maybe?
