Jumpsuits - why do they do this?!?

I am baffled by clothes designers sometimes. I've just tried on 3 jump suits from New Look (ordered online) and all have their zip down the back from neck to waist. I couldn't do up or undo any of them without DD's assistance. She doesn't live with me all the time so I am sending them all back which I am gutted about as I loved one of them in particular.

How the fuck is a single woman supposed to manage zips when they don't have someone else in the house?!!

Actually, scrap that, how is ANY woman supposed to wear one without having to ask someone else to help her undress every time she needs to go to the toilet??!!! Angry

At least with a dress you only have to contort yourself in the privacy of your own home. There is a risk with a jumpsuit that the zip could get stuck when you need the toilet when out and you also have to factor in the effects of alcohol on your ability to do the necessary gymnastics.

I'm a single woman and have no issue with back zips

Just add a few chains and a pick axe - you’ll rock!

YesQueen · 15/04/2019 15:46

My neighbour is used to dressing/undressing me when I have back zips. I also often ask a friend to unzip the back half way before I get in a taxi home Blush

MargotMoon · 15/04/2019 16:59

I find it astonishing that Boden charge £120 full price for a polyester jumpsuit Shock It is nice but they've sold out in my size.

AX Paris has a gorgeous silver glitter one for sale at £25 but it has the zip back Envy

Good god this^^! The bracelet ends up across the room 😤

I've got one like this and it's a pain. I've done the ribbon thing as mentioned below (thought I was a genius for inventing this!) but it would be so much easier if the jumpsuit had a slight v at the back so the zip could start lower! Clearly not designed by humans, or at least female humans who occasionally need to wee.
