I keep thinking I must have made this up but I have a vague recollection that you can get tights that are somehow naked at the towe bit so you can wear them with open toe shoes and it looks like you are not wearing tights.

Do you have any idea what I am talking about?

If so where can I get some?

If not what do I wear on my legs for a wedding if the shoes are open toed?

I work in a professional services environment and bare-legged works fine in summer. Open-toed is a nonstarter for some reason but bare legged is fine even in the stuffiest of offices ...

thank you - but now which way to turn?

One leg fake tan one leg in toeless tight?

I bought some Pretty Polly Naturals Hold-ups (with jojoba oil) by accident once. But, could wear them with open toe shoes and honastly, other people could not tell I was wearing tights. And they are totally none-shiny. Boots sell them.

I work in a proffessional environment and wear bare legs. But, this does seem better with a non-suit type skirt - an A-line one for example - I am not a fan of bare legs (even if tanned) with pencil-style suit skirts.

don't do it

fake tan - get the Rimmel Make-Up for Legs spray on one then if you make a bish it comes off int eh shower

zoom in on her toes - do you really want to look like this?

ktmoomoo · 14/07/2007 15:34

i cant wear tights i hate em

motherinferior · 14/07/2007 15:36

I have some stuff (from work) made my Lancome which seems quite good, in a slightly odd shimmery way on my legs. It makes them look - rather disconcertingly - as if they have fine tights on even when they don't.

PinkMartini · 14/07/2007 15:41

But sometimes fake tan goes SO blotchy it's worse than white/blue legs or dodgy rings round the open-toe.
I hate summer.

Okay Mrs B I see what you mean if you study the toe part. I like the idea of the lancome shimmery stuff - do you know what it is called motherinferior?

What if those leg foundation sprays come off? Or if there's a bit of rain? Patchy never a good look.

The gradual tan is a good idea but remember to start with it a good few days before you need the colour (and always be careful around feet and ankles)

If you have time, you could buy
-chosen no-noticable-toe tights
-the Dove gradual tan
-that lancome one (and that does sound nice so you could get that regardless)

And see which one gives you a look you are most confident with.

I got the Lncome stuff 'falsh bronzer' I think motherinferior recommended it.

It is wonderful!!!

Will go with that.

thanks all.
