I have been VERY overweight till a couple of years ago. I think you can wear most things if they fit. So with those trousers, I would size up to get the loose, relaxed fit the model has. What I wouldn’t do is wear them in a way that stretched the pattern. I think they could look lovely with either chunky sandles or a chunky trainer, plain top tucked in, and either a flowy cardigan, a denim jacket or a biker.

Probably more the jacket or biker to be honest. Don’t really want wafty on top when you’ve got loose on the bottom.

I am about size 20-22 and I couldn't wear trousers like those. It isn't the pattern, it´s the length. The width of them falling down from my hips makes me look even wider than normal. But I can wear flowery and wide trousers that stop above ankle length. Showing a big of leg at the bottom somehow makes me look more like there is a normal body underneath! I recommend trying them out.

I'm the opposite, if I wear crop trousers they make my ample average derriere look larger.
