I’m going to lop off my very long, blonde mane. My hair is naturally straight and fine, but I have lots of it, so a precision cut works really well. Always feel a bit like my long hair is my identity, but had a bob about 8 years ago that I loved. If it makes any different, I’m petite, size 6-8 and 35 and a mama to a toddler.

Would LOVE some picture ideas and thoughts as to whether or not I should go for it! x

Just to show the amount of hair I had before!

That’s an excellent idea with the undercut.

As I’ve got older I seem to have doubled my hair volume and have considered having an undercut.

I think the problem with all of these bob photos is all the models are stunning - they make the cuts look so gorgeous but in reality for us normal folk require a lot of bleach and make up to look good and avoid non descript territory.

I'm growing out a PixieCut ( tedious beyond belief) I've got past the Oh just cut it off Cut It OFF stage and its about down to my collar , need to get the side bits to the right length but a couple more trims will do it .

I have to wear my hair back off my face for work, so I was dallying with the idea of a very whispy fringe but I'm undecided . My hair is pretty much one length.
Side fringe won't work for me .
Thick fringe will make me look like Dora the Explorer Hmm

If you don't want an under cut ,ask them to deep cut. Takes loads of weight out of my hair which just seems to grow out sidewaysGrin

I always have my hair thinned and various other types of scissoring, and a lot comes out but I’m still left with too much. For once I feel like I have a normal amount of hair and won’t get called Velms (ie Velma from Scooby Doo) by my OH! It feels odd to touch but I’m sure I’ll get used to it - the lightness is definitely worth it.
