Girls weekend toiletry essentials with hand luggage only!

What would be your hand luggage make up/toiletry essentials if you were going on a girls weekend abroad but only had hand luggage allowance? Struggling to decide what I can live without!

Hang on I originally said 30 but they took up a whole make up bags worth. So for arguments sake let's say 40!

Make up first. You can buy shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste when you get there and they'll be much cheaper to buy than make up.

Yep - I've had friends have to ditch stuff for taking two bags before too.

Buy the solid shampoo and conditioner bars from Lush –they don't need to go in the clear bag. Likewise a bar of Dove soap.

Prioritise make up. I use a kind of solid-cream concealer that I never bother putting in the liquid bag.

Stick deodorant is a good idea.

Buy toothpaste to share with the group once through security.

I take a mini hairspray. Sometimes a mini heat protector if you'll be doing your hair with straighteners.

Oh and a moisturiser you can use for face and body!

Are you staying in a hotel? They will provide basics like shampoo and shower gel.

I stayed in an Air B&B recently and they provided the above plus body lotion.

I am going away soon and will take conditioner, a small nivea pot as body cream, a small La Roche Posay face cream I got in an advent calendar, toothpaste, deodorant, mascara, lip gloss, 100ml sun cream, lip balm, sample of perfume, Small size Philip Kingsley Beach Hair.

I don't use liquid foundation on holiday but will take a powder compact and powder blush plus eye pencil.

If you are going somewhere weird where you won't have shower gel and shampoo, just buy samples in Boots once airside, although I would pack soap.
