If you have thin, fine hair, what heat protection do you use with GHDs?

Looking for something to go straight on to dry hair, but I need something very very lightweight which won't drag it down.

Thanks!

Bump!

Sorry came on for the answers as I have very fine thin hair. To the point that I can't use straighteners. When the hairdresser uses them my hair goes static and looks like I have rubbed a balloon on it! I find using a round brush and hairdryer the only way...

NiceUnusualDifferent · 10/04/2019 11:51

I use the Tresemme one or the Vo5 Guardian angel. Dove did a brilliant one but discontinued it! I have exceptionally fine & thin hair

QuimReaper · 10/04/2019 12:03

Nice I was under the impression the Tresemme one went on wet hair?

I use Lisap keratin spray. It smells gorgeous and isn't too heavy for my fine damaged hair.

RoryGillmoresEvilTwin · 10/04/2019 12:08

Should've said, I use it on dry hair too.

It seems very pricey but it lasts forever!

I used to use the Dove one too!

It's still available on ebay, but pretty sure it's not been manufactured for years so who knows what it will be like.

I'm sad about this notorious Dove one, I read about it elsewhere too!

Thanks Rory - for two bottles I don't think that's too bad a price, I shall grab a cheap 125ml one to see how I get along with it Smile

GHD heat protect styling spray from the GHD website, about £12 but lasts for ages

WellTidy · 10/04/2019 12:52

I have fine, think hair too, and use the GDH one that is a styling spray for straight and sleek hair, but with heat protection in it. I love it. You can get it on Amazon.

lindyloo57 · 10/04/2019 18:41

Anyone got a link for GDH one

lindyloo57 · 10/04/2019 18:41

GHD one

trader21c · 10/04/2019 19:06

Richard Ward keratin styling spray

NearWildHeaven · 10/04/2019 20:39

I have fine hair and use the Charles Worthington one https://www.boots.com/charles-worthington-volume-and-bounce-express-blow-dry-primer-10211400

QuimReaper · 11/04/2019 09:59

NearWild again, that one says to use on "towel dried hair" - is it OK on dry hair?

lindy this is the one I've bought!

OP posts:
NiceUnusualDifferent · 11/04/2019 21:09

Sorry totally forgot to check back. The Tresemme one is for wet or dry hair. I see you've got the GHD one, I've not tried that but might next time I need to buy.

NearWildHeaven · 11/04/2019 23:15

That serves me right for not reading the OP properly! Sorry I do think it's for wet hair

lindyloo57 · 12/04/2019 17:10

Thanks quimReaper John Lewis sells it, will get some when next in city.
