On the hunt for new t-shirts. Wanted:

Scoop or slash neck

Elbow or 3/4 sleeves

Skim your waist but definitely don't cling anywhere.

Just buy a bigger size.
Seriously, I'm a 12, but buy a 16 in t shirts.
M&S supima v good though.

Jigsaw - double layered at the front. Scoop neck and ballet back versions in very nice quality cotton. They have 3/4 length sleeves and are available in white, navy and black. I swear by them!

I always buy a size up on 'clingy' t shirts too!

Cos have got some for £17 that look pretty decent but the neckline was way too high for me. It looks lower on the website though so I'm not sure if there's more than one design or if it's just Cos's usual crappy website.

You won't like this but the best ones I've had in ages were from Toast at £45 a pop. I know. And I think they cost even more this season. But it must be five years and they're still going strong and I work them hard. They sell out too so I can't even suggest hanging on for the sales.

People Tree have done good ones in the past. The last time I checked they all had 5% lycra but I'm keeping an eye on them.

I absolutely detest T shirts with lycra. I don't find sizing up helps - it just means they're loose and baggy at the neckline.

Thank you. Sizing up is a good idea but only if the t-shirt has lycra otherwise it just droops off my shoulders. I had a black t-shirt, with lycra, from Laura Ashley that I literally wore out because it hung so beautifully, and it was a size 16!

I buy the primark slouchy t shirts, they're £2.50. I buy them two sizes up and they're really comfy.

I buy H&M jersey slub t shirts. They skim beautifully but have short sleeves....not too short though so might be worth a look. £8.99

I buy the Primark stretch scoop or stretch v - I'm a 12 but buy a 14-16 and they fit just like you described. Really cheap too, nice and long in lovely colours

I like H&M linen T’s or the silk/cotton blend that’s very soft and light.
