Urgent - how to get sleep creases out of face??

LaPopie · 05/04/2019 08:16

Had a late night and early start, no buzzer and just old and wake up puffy at the best of times. My check is so creased it looks like scars. I've got an hour before I have to go out, what on earth can I do?

Thanks

Cold water and flannel. In future, maybe try a silk pillow case?

greenelephantscarf · 05/04/2019 08:19

yes to flannel.
and drink plenty.

lancashirebornandbred · 05/04/2019 08:35

Yes the future is a silk pillowcase. Have recently started using one and the difference is amazing.

CutesyUserName · 05/04/2019 08:37

I've not had any sleep creases in the two years since I started using a silk pillowcase. My hair stays 'styled' for much longer too.

LaPopie · 05/04/2019 08:37

Is it squeaky though? Silk sometimes sets my teeth on edge. Will try a good going over with a flannel in the shower

Drink lots of water, good moisturiser. Bamboo pillowcases are also good. I never have a creased face anymore sleeping on mine. All Bamboo do 2 pillowcases for £16.

I suffer from this (and frizzy hair) so intrigued by the idea of a silk pillowcase. Can anyone recommend a particular brand?

CutesyUserName · 05/04/2019 12:01

@lapopie: No, not squeaky/slimy/too hot or anything like that at all. Be sure to get pure silk, not satin though.

CutesyUserName · 05/04/2019 12:03

@sanitygirl: I have these. They wash really well time and again www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B018HYKYLK/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8
Also, be sure to choose one with silk on one side and cotton on the other or it'll slide off the bed :)

sanitygirl · 05/04/2019 12:15

Thanks @CutesyUserName!

LaPopie · 05/04/2019 12:40

Haha at the sliding off the bed.

Thank you, I will get some as soon as I can
