Style me size 22?

HelpMeStyle · 03/04/2019 21:33

I’ve reached my rock bottom and I’m a size 22 and 5,6 and 30 years old.

I have taken control and have diet and exercise under control but what can I wear to look somewhat normal or dare I say it, stylish, while I lose the weight?

I used to adore clothes but life has battered me and all I wear now is dreadful leggings and long tops. I quite honestly get a fright when I see myself and none of my previous favorites look well at this size so I’m lost.

Would really appreciate any help oh stylish ones!

YAAAAS @AuditAngel they're my fav too!

Snag tights are the best ever. I’m. 22/24 and they come all the way up to under my boobs. Never roll down

QuaintDuck · 04/04/2019 00:22

@giggly how high are your boobs tho? In a bra? Coz if they came up to my boobs sans bra they're be pop socks 😂😂

Another vote for snag tights. They are amazing

Boden trousers Richmond 7/8 length . Pricey but available on eBay or in the sale. Wonderful fit & flattering, also phase 8 jumpers

MintyCedric · 04/04/2019 08:15

I keep meaning to look at Snag for tights.

Have been buying mine through Simply Be for the last couple of years as supermarket ones are useless.

Watching with interest. I'm size 16/18 but feel boring and frumpy. I dislike myself in most clothes. I don't wear jeans or trousers, prefer dresses or tunics with leggings, only like low scoop neck lines, only like cotton or viscose, don't like fussy patterns or leopard print . I wear mainly black and grey but am so bored of the lack of colour.

Have recently put on some weight and am comfortably a size 18 at the moment, somfollowing this thread with interest! I loved the brown and black snake wrap dress - that looked really flattering.

Where does everyone buy jeans? I’ve got some ill fitting skinny jeans at the moment which are far from flattering

Candleglow7475 · 07/04/2019 20:37

All your 3 pictures look fab!

evaperonspoodle · 07/04/2019 21:44

Going against the grain to say stay away from skinny jeans or gym leggings unless you wear at least mid calf boots. I have a very similar shape to Quaint (minus the boobs, which makes me look so out of proportion 😥) and the above IMO makes a person look even fatter. I have skinny ankles but fat knees so I wear straight leg trousers which are much more flattering. The Asda jumpsuit looks fab, must go in for a look myself.

Was very excited to see the snake dress on the sale rail at Tesco for £5 yesterday...but not in my size...harrumph!

QuaintDuck · 09/04/2019 09:37

@MintyCedric Next sell Tesco's stuff. Have you looked on there?
