Russell and Bromley Mothers Day Opt Out

I am on Russell and Bromleys email list.
They sent an email stating if, for any reason, I didn't want Mothers Day related emails I could opt out.
I thought that was lovely. It made me think.
It must be really hard for those who would have loved to be mothers, but for whatever reason their wish wasn't fulfilled or sadly they are bereaved mothers, to be constantly bombarded by Mothers Day 'stuff' at this time of year.
Very thoughtful of Russell and Bromley Thanks

I wish they'd open a shop in Dublin, despite being out of my price range Smile

That is thoughtful, but why has mother’s dsy become such a big marketing opportunity’s I’m sure it used to be about making DM a cup of team in bed and a bunch of daffs. Not high end shoes!

Very thoughtful. This mothers day, as always, I will not be with my mum or my daughter but spending time with a friend who lost his mum. It's a day for the rest of us but a painful reminder for him.

Superdrug email had the same . I thought it was a really thoughtful touch too.

I don't know what I think about this. My Mum died when I was 31, 5 years ago. I hate Mother's Day but getting an email about future emails is sort of just drawing even more attention to it. There will be lots of emails from other companies, so one less won't make a difference. There will still be Mother's Day cards and gifts in the supermarket. You can't avoid it fully.

You are right seven201 you can't actually avoid it but I thought it was nice tbh.
