Curly long hair or straight chin length bob ?

So all through my twenties I had short snappy blonde bobs. Worked for my lifestyle looked ok. But then at 40 I decided to grow it long. It’s bra strap length now. And looks nice about 3 times a year when it’s been dyed cut and blow dried straight.
Rest of the time I look like a witch apparently.

Am thinking if I go back to the bob at least I can manage that blow dried straight most days.
I fear I’ll regret it though

If you go back to your bob and you dont like, you can always grow it again. You wont know until you try. I like the messy lob/bobs that are around now.

I'm trying to make a similar decision. I've decided to keep it long for now as I still have plenty of mornings with no time for blow drying and I like the option of tying it in a scruffy greasy bun (lovely!)

Has your hair texture or morning routine changed significantly since last having it short?

No there’s just more it I guess therefore more to look like a birds nest

I had a bob in my late 20s then grew my hair and had it shoulder length or longer until my late 40s. I got it cut into a bob last summer as like you my long hair only looked good when it was professionally styled. Well now I always look so well groomed. It has totally changed me and even prompted a new style of clothes.

BTW I have a slight curl and I leave my hair to dry naturally most days and it looks amazing - just make sure you don’t get layers and that way the curls won’t go mad.

I'm wrestling with the same dilemma OP.

I have long curly hair that I've has for years but I really think I need to bite the bullet and go for a medium length bob. I'm scared though!
