High waisted exercise leggings

I know this gets asked all the time, but I’ve scrolled back loads of pages and can’t find the last one.

Can anyone recommend a brand for thick, non-see through exercise leggings, preferably with a thick, high waistband.

I’m going to ask for them for my birthday, and don’t want to ask for fabletics in case anyone gets trapped in that monthly payment scheme because of me!

Don’t bother with ASOS - I’ve just returned three pairs as all were see-through. I’ve had some fabletics on the 2 for £24 initial deal but can’t afford their normal prices. They are good though. I’m looking for new ones too so will check out the suggestions!

Sweaty Betty - they are the only ones that are high waisted enough not to start slipping/annoying me during exercise. I really rate them, they aren’t see-through and last really well.

Sorry to hijack the thread but do any of the above recommendations have pockets? The matalan ones are great but they really piss pockets! I struggle where to put keys/phone etc when I go for a run.

Piss pockets 😂😂😂😂

Obviously I meant MISS pockets

ScrambledSmegs · 18/03/2019 13:17

cricketmum Sweaty Betty leggings have a good size back pocket you can fit an average sized smartphone in, and some of the Power leggings have side pockets too (great for gels etc).

Of the other brands I have, RonhillI has a good sized back pocket, as does Gap. 2XU - if you buy the type listed as 'storage' waistband then yes, good sized pocket at the front inside the waistband, otherwise they're really tiny. But amazing leggings, worth the price for the compression alone.

ScrambledSmegs · 18/03/2019 13:19

Btw always wait for sales on Sweaty Betty. I get 2XU in the sale as well because they're expensive.

Matalan souluxe exercise range is fab x

marks and spencer blackout ones, £28. very good.

I bought some from Sweaty Betty that are great. I really thought they were ridiculously expensive but have been worth it. I have had some from Decathlon previously which were ok but aren’t nearly as good.

Not sure if you are still looking OP, just thought I'd mention Asda have some for £10 and they don't slip down.

Flex fit are similar to gymshark, I buy in their sale. They're perfect for yoga but don't have any pockets
