I hate fleeces too. Am I the only person who doesn't own one? My MIL always says 'and they're so comfortable to wear when driving' which just makes me even more resolute to not buy one.

DH and I went camping in the sahara for a long weekend and I still refused to buy a fleece, even though it was STIPULATED on the kit list. I took a very smart wool jacket. I looked right plonker to be honest.

Fleeces are grim, I have yet to see anyone look good in them but they are warm and that's why I wear them.

Good God is that what middle age holds for me?
