Breast Reduction Surgery

Hi All,

I am due to have breast reduction surgery in April. Obviously I'm very anxious about the surgery but I'm more anxious about the recovery.

I am 32, my breast size is 34DD/E depending, and I work as a teacher.

My query is about recovery time/ complications. As I am a teacher I have chosen to have this procedure done over the 2 week Easter break and hope I don't have to take anymore time off- as I don't want to have to tell my employer about my surgery.

Just looking for advice, should I tell my employer I am going for surgery, just in case? Is two weeks enough time for recovery?

Thanks xx

unusually, please try not to let embarrassment about their size stop you getting what is essentially medical help. I was a 32K, sometimes KK so I understand how disproportionate they must be too your frame. I’m currently still a 32F at 11 weeks post op which is as small as my surgeon felt he could safely go. That still sounds big, and is certainly a bit bigger than I hoped but even so, it’s transformational, and I may get smaller yet. Every doctor I met was kind and respectful.

Hope everyone is doing great!

Just popping in to say I've decided to get cool sculpting treatment on my belly because I'm so sick of looking at it!! Since I got the breast reduction done it looks massive!

I'll let you know how it goes, had my consultation today and I'm scheduled to get it done next week
