People with thin/fine hair - I've found a new trick that really works

My hair has always been baby fine, it's a short (almost chin length) bob and I've literally tried ALL the products to get some volume and make it easier to style.

I've finally found a truck that works. For the past week I've been spraying the roots of my hair with spray mousse, then blow drying my hair upwards from underneath focusing on the roots with a brush until it's nearly dry, then finishing blow drying it in the usual way.

I can't tell you the difference it's made to my hair, it looks thick, it moves, it has loads of body. I'm so so happy so thought I would share it with you all

What brand mouse have you been using. Interested that your hair still moves. I found it I got volume i looked like I’d had a 1960s shampoo and set!

I use Lee Stafford spray mouse, section my hair up and just spray a small amount on the roots. If I put it all over think my hair would feel stiff as it's quite strong

My hair is fine but thick and still lacks volume. Does this just add volume at the roots or all over? Don't want to end up looking like a bush! Blush

Crimping at the roots will also give volume.

My hair is quite short and this trick gives my hair body and movement all over. Not sure whether you'd get the same on longer hair but it's worth a try

Following with interest.
/Also riddled with itchy sensitive scalp so most products are a no-no

I trip my head upside down to blow dry my hair, then using the hairdryer at the roots. Stand up straight and finish the blow dry upright

Thanks Op. I'll try anything.

Someone on another post recommend rinsing with Epsom salts to make the water softer so am goin to give that a go as well.
