I need a single brown eyeshadow

It needs to be a warm brown, not sparkly and preferably just a single colour. I used to like Rimmel Smokey Quartz and am I'm presently using W7 In the Buff chocolate which I like but most of the other colours aren't used so will be wasted. Can anyone recommend one to suit?

Makeup geek do singles on beauty bay. Mega pigmented
Try latte, creme brulee, cocoa bear

Body Shop eyeshadows are good, and they do a dark brown one. A quick internet search reveals it is called 'Amazonia Earth' and if you just buy the refill it is £5.

Thank you all very much, will see if I can find 'the one' from your suggestions Smile

Kiki do a fantastic selection of single eye shadows and a lot of browns to choose from.

Sali Hughes did a good review in the guardian which you might find useful. I love the Mac paint pot she recommends.

Yes - Mac Groundwork is the one for the job. I use a larger size eyeshadow brush (more of a blender brush) and just slap it on! It’s so quick and easy - blends effortlessly and stays put, and doesn’t crease. So much easier than powder shadow.

I read the title as 'I have a single brown eyebrow' and was going to offer advice on plucking! Grin

Thank you very much everybody, much appreciated Smile

I would have thought Bobbi Brown would be the spiritual home of the brown eye shadow - if you’ve got the dosh.

SpiritedLondon · 08/03/2019 09:24

Oh dear that looks like I was making a cheesy pun on the name.... I was referring to her leaning towards natural / neutral colour palettes.

MadameDD · 08/03/2019 09:31

In the past I've received free brown eyeshadows in GWP from Estee Lauder etc.

Have also bought them from MAC - singles, and when they did kits a couple of years ago - a brown kit.

Auldspinster · 08/03/2019 10:41

Gosh eyeshadow crayons are good and have a matte dark brown.

GoldenFlaps · 08/03/2019 11:31

Wow, so many choices, thank you all Smile

What's GWP MadameDD?

I just rediscovered MAC in Cork this week, it’s been in my makeup hoard box for about 4+ years, unused. Blend well and stays put.
For more Budget friendly eyeshadows, I would recommend either Essence from Wilco’s or Natural collection from Boots. They do some really lovely neutral singles

GoldenFlaps · 08/03/2019 18:40

Thank you both Smile

As suggested MAC Groundwork is great for a natural look. It’s quick to apply & long lasting. The pot is decent size too.

DuchessOfPhysics · 08/03/2019 20:07

That chanel visone shade is lovely. I had a chanel palette and I used that one up and none of the others. I was wondering if you could buy it on its own.

GoldenFlaps · 09/03/2019 12:21

That's the trouble Duchess all the waste. Single pots are the way forward!

Thank you Domino.

Ivgotasecretcanyoukeepit · 09/03/2019 14:35

I like MAC Swiss chocolate.
