What shall I do with my hair?

It's very dark brown and obstinate. Determinedly does its own thing, but hasn't a clue what its own thing is. It's sort of wavy, sort of straight, sort of frizzy.

As I've got older my hair has got thinner, greyer and frizzier. Nothing 'sort of' about that. I'm not bothered at all by the greys - quite like the sparkle they give - but am beginning to look like a mad old bat (or battleaxe!).

I don't use any styling products as I am allergic to most of them.

I get hot flushes so I need to be able to put my hair up off my neck.

I have heavyish features and wear hats and glasses.

All the hairstyle ideas sites show pictures of thick, styled hair on slender, glasses-free models.

How can I find decent inspiration?

As an aside if your hot flushes are menopause related, I took menopace supplement and they stoppwd immediately. I went through the menopause with a breeze thanks to taking menopace.

I'm on HRT, which is fantastic, but variable.

I've got crap hair. No frizz just lank. Too long- looks crap. Too short- crap. I can't Bob it because it looks crap. I've settled on a chignon type updo held in place by a very unstylish crocodile type clip.
