Things We Learnt Today:

Satin is not for daywear
Nor are strapless prom dresses
Conversely, your large black leather work handbag is too daywear
There is no need for your nail varnish to match your bag or your shoes
Those Monsoon dresses with the ruched waist panel are still fab a year on but only for those with norks
Pretty cotton sundresses are always a good buy
Fascinators are not
A jacket worn over a dress/skirt has to be a) buttoned up and b) really, really cute and well fitting or you will look like the Queen or the mother of the bride
A shrug or a little cardigan is a better bet
Both large hats and pashminas are hard to handle in a high wind

what did you wear mrsb?

MrsBadger · 07/07/2007 21:24

stone linen bias-cut dress, beaded wedges, spectacular hat to distract from hugely pregnant belly
