Any ideas where to sell Joules / Boden clothing?

Collectorofcookbooks · 21/02/2019 20:08

Just had a big clearout and uncovered some nice items of clothing in good condition from Joules, Boden, Seasalt etc.

Put it on the FB groups and had quite a bit of interest, but have been let down 7 times now for pick up! I am a bit wary of eBay - any other ideas?

Car boot? Not really the season and never done one. Any other ideas gratefully received.

I tend to buy second hand Boden on e-bay.

ChiaraMontague · 21/02/2019 20:17

I’ve sold both on eBay in the past with good success

GregoryPeckingDuck · 21/02/2019 20:17

I have sold lots of stuff on eBay. Never any issues.

Collectorofcookbooks · 21/02/2019 20:18

Does it go for a decent price? Any tips on that, or is it just a case of starting low and going for it?

The last time I used eBay I don’t think I’d even bought the clothes I may sell on there 😂

Are any of the items breastfeeding friendly? I sold some Joules wrap dresses on a Facebook Group called Can I Breastfeed in it selling page. If not, EBay!

NotTired · 21/02/2019 20:22

Mine sold for £15 each.

margotsdevil · 21/02/2019 20:23

I've bought all 3 brands on eBay. Some I've paid around £20 for.

MadisonMontgomery · 21/02/2019 21:56

I’ve sold mine on eBay - Joules especially tends to go for a good price.

ChiaraMontague · 21/02/2019 21:58

I usually list mine for a Buy It Now price with the option to make offers. I sold my dresses for average £15-£20 each

eBay

BikeRunSki · 21/02/2019 22:03

There are dedicated FB groups for selling a Boden, Joules and Seasalt, where you post the items out.

BikeRunSki · 21/02/2019 22:06

Also, search for FB group “Loved Labels”.

CallMeRachel · 21/02/2019 22:10

They'll sell well on eBay.

List them using Buy it Now rather than auction though, I find that works better as people seem to want to just buy rather than wait to bid now.

Selling fees are extortionate but if you wait til they have offers on, you can sell for just £1 per item + PayPal fees 3.4%

SteelRiver · 21/02/2019 23:32

I sold my Joules Rosamund shirts on eBay once they got too big for me, getting between £20 - £25.

Make sure to put on a good description and don't look at silly offers. It's nice quality stuff.

Collectorofcookbooks · 22/02/2019 07:11

Some good tips, thanks.

It’s the dedicated FB groups that I’ve been stung by, so didn’t want to go down that route.

Time to reactivate my account!

I had an email from eBay saying that they are scrapping the listing fees for private sellers from March, might be worth hanging on a couple of weeks before listing.

Splodgetastic · 24/02/2019 18:04

I’ve been having a clear out and started to list on eBay some items that I had bought and just didn’t suit me (but didn’t have time to return when I first got them), so some are brand new with tags and I have had zero interest. I think it may be because Boden have a sale and some items are available there now very cheaply. I know I could give to the charity shop (which is what I normally do with worn but good quality clothes) but as the items were so new I was hoping to make some of the money back that I basically wasted. Very disappointed. I was pretty surprised as I’m a very common size. So, I’d love to know what I’m doing wrong!

Joules FB selling group

Loved Labels FB selling group

There are also these other groups, but I am not a member, so I can’t link.

Any ideas where to sell Joules / Boden clothing?
BikeRunSki · 24/02/2019 18:20

@Splodgetastic, you know you can return Boden stuff for a year?

Splodgetastic · 24/02/2019 18:27

@BikeRunSki, no I didn’t! I just assumed it would be about a month like everywhere else. Thanks!

BikeRunSki · 24/02/2019 20:16

@Splodgtastic details here. I might be wrong actually. It’s a year for quality problems, might only be 3 months for changing your mind]].

Seasalt sells well on eBay
