I have a dressing table - a three-drawer 18th century French commode - with a three-way mirror on top and lots of little cut glass bottles with silver tops .

But my make-up lives in a bag in the bathroom and I do it over the washbasin

Bathroom as DP is usually sleeping after a night shift

bathroom? i could never understand that.

Used to be bathroom, but I took the mirror down when I painted and it's still not back up, so at the mo I put it on in my room.

I have a dressing room. I am a fancy little monkey

I have a drawer full of womanly mystery in the kitchen,and a hall mirror.
I shout orders in the morning,whilst pottering backwards and forwards between the two.

have a beautiful , very old dressing table my grandma gave to me when she moved house, in the bay window of my bedroom......I love sitting there, doing my maquillage, feeling all womanly and lovely for 5 minutes...before DD leaps onto my lap and tries to eat my brushes!

I have a dressing table which is one of those fabric covered shelving units

you can't wash it so the top is all covered with eyeshadow

all my make up (not much really) is a poncey basket on a shelf.

I'd like a dressing table, or rather a plain console table that I could use as a dressing table, but the space I'd use is taken up by a blardy rowing machine

have to stand in the bathroom.

ds1 has a poo at 0800 everyday- just as I am putting on my make up. It really aggrevates me having to put my slap on to the sounds of poop hitting the water.

rofl @ 0800, I actually read it as 'Oh-eight-hundred-hours' too.

I know- its something I cannot get out of. Having a dad in the RAF meant everything was done with military precision in our house and I do the 24 hr clock to a T.

I have a teeny tiny little room off our bedroom which I have commandered.

I have baskets full to the brim with make-up and perfume, jewellery and scarves and a large mirror.
