Budget make up

Hi,

Please could you help me with my search for budget everyday make up products?
I have very little money at the moment and well, very little life, however, I would like to look reasonably decent when I venture outside the house with the DC.
With the little money I have, I would like to get my face sorted each morning and look alive/awake: tinted moisturiser, mascara, eye brow product, blusher...
So far I've thought of getting The Ordinary Serum foundation. I haven't used it but can't think of any tinted moisturiser type that would deliver for that amount of money. I have tried Aldi BB cream (does nothing), Nivea (was orange on me), Bourjois Healthy Mix (cakey).
For mascara I've been using Maybelline Great Lash waterproof, which has been ok, but if anyone can recommend an even better, similar priced one that would be great!
Biggest question mark is the brow product. My eye brows are sparse and I would love them to be 'natural' but more bushy. I've tried eye brow pencils but they all look reddish brown on me (I'm mousy brown a cool brunette! Grin). Is there one that is good but not too expensive and would make my brows nice n' bushy?
Lastly, a good non glittery blusher may be necessary to achieve the alive/awake look.
Do you think it is possible to find all products and spend say, a fiver or so each? I will be grateful for your advice!

Another make up revolution fan
Their concealer is brilliant, I've also used a few of the brow products and liked them.

Gosh Foundation drops and the mineral powder foundation are very good and last ages.

Revolution has a brow tint, which lasts for a few days. It costs around a fiver, they might have one in your shade?

Second the essence mascaras, the black with purple is my favourite.

MUA blushers are very pigmented for their low price

I use a brow pencil and creamy eyeshadow from Primark that I love!

Thank you, I will definitely check out Revolution also! I bought some MUA eye shadow many moons ago, they seem to do much more stuff these days. I've nearly ran out of my NARS tinted moisturiser (find it too expensive), will be good to find something that is cheaper - and frankly, better!

I always think maybelline and bourjois are the best all round budget brands. I have never been disappointed with anything I have bought from either.

I really like some high end products but honestly there are some great high street products and dupes out there.

Foundation - Rimmel's perfect match is better than Dior Star imo.

Eyebrows - have tried them all - never found better than Rimmel's £2.50 one.

Eyeliner - again Rimmel's kohl.

Eyeshadow - Revolution (Superdrug) have some brilliant ones - their rose gold one is a dupe for the Huda one.

Blusher - Sleeks 'Rose Gold' is a dupe for Nars Orgasm - perfect for most skin tones and very wearable - can build it up - I have both and actually prefer the Sleek.

Concealer - I live Rimmels Hide the Blemish - again have tried many high end and this is the best imo.

Greyhound22 · 16/02/2019 16:56

Oh and mascara - Maybellines pink and green tube is far the best I think!

Greyhound22 · 16/02/2019 17:02

Oh and for your eyebrow pencil try the Rimmel 'Hazel' one. No reddish/orangy tone.

Wendywoo1000 · 16/02/2019 19:02

I love MUA from Superdrug. And ive converted to Primark foundation which is £2.50! Bit thicker than the usual Loreal i wear but its there at the end of the day.

Angelinthenightx · 16/02/2019 21:34

C.y.o in boots have amazing things ive got the foundation, eye brow palette that are better than expensive make up also agree with others mua and kilko.make up relevolution at superdrug have alot of good make up too & primark alot of people said they are dupes of expensive make up.

Collection Lash Surge mascara is amaaaaazing.

Collection 24hr Extreme eyeliner... also amazing and dirt cheap.

Collection Velvet Kiss lipstick - Dreamboat is a lovely neutral colour.

I love the NYX micro brow pencil in taupe - I'm a neutral blonde with ashy brown brows who can't be doing with any red. The Primark pencil in taupe is good too for even cheaper!

Kiko Double Touch lipstick is incredible - it doesn't move at all once it's on.

Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes... so many good quality colours for so little money.

Bourjois CC Cream - very light and very lovely.

OnTheFrow · 16/02/2019 21:53

BOURJOIS CC CREAM!!!!!!

really good. Sleek do a good foundation too as well as a lot of affordable products tbf!

katienana · 16/02/2019 22:05

I'm using this foundation from Rimmel and really like it. www.rimmellondon.com/en_gb/products/face/lasting-finish-breathable-foundation

Brow Artist by loreal is good, it's a brow mascara and you can fill your brows in quite nicely with it.

Save up your Advantage points and have a little splurge. I've been impressed by NYX lip pencils so I'd be willing to try their other products. They seem to have a huge range where brands like Bourjois gave only a tiny section in boots now.

Nanalisa60 · 16/02/2019 22:09

Avon is very good and always has offers!! But for a really cheap stuff that seems good go to primark!!

RockyFlintstone · 16/02/2019 22:18

Primark foundation (the medium coverage one in the black tube) is £2.50 and supposed to be a dupe for Armani Luminous Silk foundation. I havent tried the Armani but the Primark has become my holy grail foundation after years of looking, its excellent!

Wendywoo1000 · 17/02/2019 07:46

Thats the one rocky. At that price i can afford to throw it away if its not nice.

emilybrontescorsett · 17/02/2019 08:25

I second Primark mascara. I've also used Nyx lipsticks and they are very good.
