Tiny hoop earrings - how do you fasten them? ?

I have just bought some earrings like these and can't fasten them - is there a knack to it? I won't be taking them out any time soon and need to make sure they are secure as I'll be sleeping in them. My earlobes are now hot and red from trying- help please!

I have never found the knack to this: thought it was just me being cackhanded!
And when I ask someone else to do it for me, they seem to come unfastened again; I think I bend them out of shape as I mess with them in the mirror.

I've finally done it but can't tell you how! The mirror made it harder as everything was back to front but I got there in the end. I didn't break the hoops or tear my earlobes but they are very sore from being tugged around. These hoops are staying in!

Don't use a mirror!

I suppose there must be a 'knack' to it - I rely on habit so it's hard to describe.

Rub your earlobe between your finger and thumb first. And erm ... hold the earlobe together so both sides of the piercing are lined up. Sorry, that's a hopeless explanation.

But at least, once you get the hang of it, you'll never want or need to take them out.
