Henley Royal - Fatuous and superficial clothes question thread

[Disclaimer: Normally Henley doesn't fox me at all as usually

  1. I am not hugely pregnant
  2. We picnic on the towpath where no-one give a toss about dress codes
  3. It's sunny, or at least predictably dry]

However this year none of the above apply:

  • I am the size and shape of a walrus
  • We have tags (meaning blazer and tie for DH, skirt below the knee for me)
  • In all likelihood it's going to tip down and turn into a Glasto-style mudbath.

I have:

  • one beige linen dress (which may not fit by Saturday) and one brown chiffon one.
  • wraps in black, various browns and brown/cream patterned but nothing else that is smart, warm and goes round me.
  • Drak green Hunter-a-likes, delicate bronze kitten heels, brown beaded flipflops and black beach flipflops.
  • brown, beige and black bags

Any clues?
Anyone?

should I dash out and buy a dark green bag and wrap to match the wellies?
