Size 9/EU 43 shoes of all sorts

Has anyone found any good ones recently? I’m desperate to clear out my wardrobe but sadly I generally have to buy shoes and then create outfits based around them due to having size 9s. Am having a shoe crisis! Where are all the nice ones? I’ve tried Crispins (generally frumpy but with occasional stars), Next (lots are poorly made), Toms...

Bumping... I can’t be the only one out there with size 9s?? Grin

Me too. Sorry I don't have any suggestions.
I also have skinny heels and only really like to wear leather, so I've been wearing the same pair of winter boots for 10 years.
Sad

My mum is size 9 and buys her shoes in Clarks and from simply be catalogue. They have some lovely ones in there!

HundredMilesAnHour · 08/02/2019 10:02

Not sure if these are your taste (or within budget) but Air and Grace have one pair of these left in size 43 (I got an email from them yesterday):

They do occasional runs in larger sizes so it's worth joining their mailing list if you like their shoes.

I'm a size 9 and getting married this year. We have booked to go to the states as I'll have more of a choice. The shoes will dictate my dress!

northernstars · 08/02/2019 10:06

Aldo are the only high street shop I can use but their heels are ridiculously high and as I'm 6ft it ain't going to work.

graysquirrel · 08/02/2019 10:15

I always find Clarks good. Used to use Simply Be but so many of their styles are cheap and nasty now I find. I've had some good ones for Next too but very trial and error and find don't have many large sizes in shop so have to order online and then have to buy 10 pairs to try!
Summer I love as live in Saltwater sandals which fit me perfectly!!

ninebiscuits · 08/02/2019 10:29

I always fine Dorothy Perkins good for size 9! Annoyingly you have to order online! I'm sure red herring in Debenhams do a size 9 too...

Phwooooar · 08/02/2019 13:07

Thank you for all your suggestions - much appreciated. I’ve bought a pair of Air and Grace trainers but OMG they are expensive for what they are! airandgracelondon.com/collections/womens-luxury-sneakers/products/cru-1

Will have a look at Dotty Ps too. I find lots of shoes are labelled 9 but are really a 8 or 42.

If you're looking in that price range, I've used this site. Excellent quality shoes. Shipping is 2 days from Netherlands. Shipping steep but same no matter how many pairs you buy.

Oooh thanks caesio - will have a look

I've bought a few pairs from Zalando recently, plenty that are real leather and lots of choice in a size 43.

Phwooooar · 08/02/2019 15:38

I’ve looked on Zalando previously - sadly most 9s are a 42 not 43

Try TK Maxx (stores and online). They often have bigger - and smaller - sizes

littlebillie · 08/02/2019 20:28

Asda do 43 as do Next

PurpleShepNeedsToGoToBed · 08/02/2019 20:34

Anyone any tips for even bigger? I have odd sized feet anyway, but my bigger foot is a 10.5...Hmm

yellowsun · 08/02/2019 20:57

I mostly get mine from Clark’s. I have some brakeburn boots which are roomy. Next seem to be more narrow these days. I have some cheap one aform Asda but they’re not very good quality.

yellowsun · 08/02/2019 20:59

Graysqurrel- I thought saltwater 9s were actually 8s?

noraclavicle · 08/02/2019 21:16

I have to get size 9s for DD, even though she’s only just over a size 8 (at 12!), but 8 1/2 doesn’t seem to exist. Asos has turned up some good styles & TK Maxx is always worth checking out.

Longdistance · 08/02/2019 21:25

Yy to Zalando doing size 9. Also, try Deichmann shoes, I think they go up to a size 10 (don’t quote me on that), I’ve seen 9’s there. I remember getting shoes from them in Germany many years ago, they have shops in the UK now.

Wincarnis · 08/02/2019 21:34

Many european brands do size 9/43 not cheap but usually very good quality...Gabor, Josef Siebel, Romika, Remonte, Tamaris

LaBelleSauvage123 · 08/02/2019 21:45

I’m between an 8 and a 9. Went into Clarks the other day and asked the sales assistant if they had any boots in either size. She said ‘are you an eight or really a ....’ and then she mouthed ‘nine?’ as if she was saying something rude 😂

NymphInYellow · 08/02/2019 21:50

Long Tall Sally I think go up to a 12. They tend to run a bit small though, so I usually get a size up. I've bought some nice leather boots in Evans, though they are often quite wide fitting.

rosablue · 09/02/2019 00:24

My mum takes a 9 or 9.5, dsis takes a 10 or 10.5 so looking for some ideas, although recognise many of the names on here.

Hotter doesn't seem to have been mentioned yet - they go up to a size 9 and also have width fittings for some styles. Many of their shoes are frumpy but there are usually several gems and they're usually really comfortable too.
Hotter Size 9s

Magnus Shoes is another shop that specialises in large sizes - they have a branch in/near Northampton, I think London and are also online.
www.magnusshoes.com/

And when looking for the magnus website, I came across this website listing lots of places to try:

noraclavicle · 09/02/2019 21:59

Magnus has a shop on Chiltern St in London (Marylebone), adjacent to Crispins and opposite Long Tall Sally. So if you’re shopping in the Smoke for larger shoes you can literally hop between the three!
