Is there a ‘princessing’ thread about?

And if not, would anyone like to start one with me?

I am in need of much princessing.

I sometimes listen to these motivation type videos on you tube on the commute - try and get me hyped up for work "today you will be productive, this is how to achieve all your goals" yada yada. I quite enjoy them

ah I'm currently doing something similar trying to build as much princessing into my normal life as possible with a view to always doing it rather than having phases

for me it's

  1. biotin vit spray
  2. vitamin d (diagnosed low)
  3. vit b12 (also low)
  4. gym 2 x per week (max amount I can fit in)
  5. spa 2 x per week (attached to gym)
  6. teetotal
  7. between 1200 and 1800 calories per day ACCURATELY tracked with the lose it app (I have a lot of weight to lose) not strict on anything except the accurate part
  8. start getting botox
  9. Skincare including double cleanse, tone, real Retin A and sunscreen
  10. good sleep 'hygiene' inc no naps, no lie-ins, bed by 11 pm, up by 7:30am
  11. regaine (I have female pattern hair loss)
  12. daily dry body brushing
  13. reduce evening screen time

currently managing about 10 of these - yet to get botox and trying to remember to body brush in the morning, yet to reduce evening screen time

Oh report back on the Botox please, those who are having it! I’m considering it... but dh thinks I’ll end up a bit rigid faced. I was holding off till we finished breastfeeding, which we now have.

As soon as this baby goes to sleep I’m turning off the phone and reading my book!

With the fruit and veg issue I juice and usually hit 5 with that and then have more in main meal

BartonHollow · 07/02/2019 11:35

Amanda Holden is a walking cautionary tale for Botox and so is Nicole Kidman that's the problem

ChubsyMcChubFace · 07/02/2019 11:38

Yes, I’ve just bought a, (fake Wilkinson’s version of the), nutribullet. It’s great. I quite often make a big fruit & veg smoothie for breakfast, so I get a good few portions of fruit and veg that way.

I have a nice salad in the fridge already for lunch, which will go some way towards making up for my less than virtuous breakfast! It was not a smoothie...

I am not in this for weight loss per se, but if I happen to lose a few lbs in the princessing process, that would be fab.

Hi all!

I don’t know if you have all seen this:

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/site_stuff/3501854-Mumsnet-data-breach-please-read

I realise I have only just started this thread and I hope everyone else continues it without me. I will be princessing too in private, but I am deleting my account. I simply don’t trust MNHQ with my info anymore 🤷‍♀️.

It hasn't affected people who use the app apparently so you might be alright OP

Am turning 50 soon and having been a size 12 all my adult life I somehow managed to mysteriously gain 12lbs last year. Also my morning sleep creases were still there mid afternoon. On Xmas photos I looked tired and frumpy.

I had Baby Botox a month ago and my teeth whitened and it's made a subtle but very positive difference, I look fresher than I did 5 years ago. Also had all my hair chopped off in an urchin cut which was terrifying but have had lots of praise. But my weight was still really getting me down so last week I got so mad with myself that I started Michael Mosley's 800 calorie diet and I have lost 6.5lbs in a week. I am so happy Smile

Going forward, I hope to lose another 10lbs by Easter. I've also made a start on Kon Marieing my many, many (seriously, like so many) clothes and getting back to a more quality, curated wardrobe.

I'm trying to remember to take my vitamin D every day and drink more fluids.

Love the thread, I posted an earlier one about how to stop feeling blah and I think this is somewhat linked. I've never done the daily body brushing, only when I know I'm going out. Has it made real difference to anyone?

stegosauruslady · 08/02/2019 07:18

theharlotletter I KM'ed last year. It has really helped! From a clothes point of view it helped me to understand better what I actually like wearing, rather than what I think I should wear.

I have booked my hair appointment for Monday. DP is going to come and hold the baby. I'm not getting anything radical done, just a tidy, my layers fixing and my undercut cutting back in.

For today, DP is off work so I'm planning a long shower, face mask, moisturise and do my hair properly. We are off out to a friend's house for curry and beer tonight!
