I m a bit skint and have been kindly loaned this dress. It's okaaaayish on me, kind of long midi because I am short. It's not my usual style and I think it needs very thoughtful accessories for a cold Feb wedding. I am thinking bright blue or dark green or something. I need a warm outer layer and some shoes and I am not sure what else really. I want to quirk it and modernise it just a bit but without going mad because I obviously won't wear it again.
Could it work with a biker jacket?Confused
If anyone has some chie miharas or irregular choice to sell in 4 and a half then that would do it...Wink

A biker jacket to a wedding???!!! Sounds totally inappropriate unless it's very casual/relaxed. What's the dress code?

Greeper · 02/02/2019 21:11

I don't think a biker jacket is ideal...its just all I have! There is no dress code on the invite but it's a civil service, she is in a pale blue long dress, him in a suit, both quite trendy people, so smartish but quite relaxed.

I think a biker jacket over it would be lovely, and much more modern. I think blue would be too bright with it, but dark green suede or velvet heels would be gorgeous, or a darker shade of pink such as burgundy, so long as they tone together. Or a white fake fur jacket, if you can get one. And seeing as it’s February, could you manage a dark green fluffy pillbox hat or beret?

If it's dressy I would go with gold accessories and shoes

I love navy and pink, wear it all the time. Could do a belt shoes and cardigan.

I think boohoo can be great if you are on a tight budget. What is the venue?

If church and cold then a coat over it like this in navy

If hotel venue wear any coat travelling and then stash coat and you could wear something like this cardigan again in navy if you felt something was needed.

Navy is good, love the belted coat. Not sure about sizes though.
