Shampoo for porous, curly, coarse, frizzy, highlighted, greying hair!

I have my hair highlighted every 8 weeks to disguise the greys, but it's very dry and prone to frizz. Any suggestions for a suitable shampoo and conditioner?

I use pureology but the perfect for platinum one. Osmo is also very good.

Hi. It seems like we might have the same hair type Smile. I started to used Aveda shampoo and conditioner for curly hair and it has been amazing for me. It is crazy expensive though. Since finding it I haven't dared switch though as I have finally found a shampoo and conditioner that works for me - after a lot of hunting!!

Kirkland Signature Professional Salon Formula Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, 2 x 1L

These used to be generic Pureology Hydrate.

The formula has changed and I have it on good authority that the new formula is generic Alterna Caviar Replenishing Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner.

I really wanted to try the pureology one but it has a chemical in I'm really allergic to. Which Osmo shampoo is the hydrating one? I use their purple shampoo.

I have dyed my hair blonde for years!!! In summer always frizzy. Read an article about curly hair saying stop using shampoo. So I did. Haven't washed my hair since June last yr. I just useCreightons purple toning conditioner. Amazing the difference. Also had to wash hair every day as so messy. Now i can go up to 6 days without conditioning and hair still looks gr8. I also use Creighton no more frizz curls (cream) just to get rid of bed head. Shampoo is full of parabens and silicone which is not good. Please try and u will be amaz3d by the results

Sorry forgot to say buy it from home bargains. Very cheap

GreenShadow · 03/02/2019 18:17

Yeah. As Fififi says - follow the Curly Girl method and forget shampoos altogether. It's absolutely brilliant and the products can be obtained cheaply on the High Street or supermarket.
