Where to get decent socks?

M&S has gone to the dogs as far as I'm concerned - bought one of their multipacks of socks but they are not good quality like they used to be - wear out very quickly and slip down my foot. Infuriating when wearing boots.

Can anyone recommend some better quality ones that don't cost the earth?

Agree with the sock shop online. Great socks

Another one for tkmaxx - am a bit obsessed with the place at the moment it seems - but got some lovely posh Jaeger ones which are so comfy. Don't bunch or squash my 'toe knuckles'. (Size 8 feet)

Falke cosywool. Just discovered them and cannot believe the quality. Sale on.

I would have said uniqlo heattech as they’ve been my go to for the last few years but the latest pair went in a hole first wear and they haven’t responded to my email. The seasalt bamboo ones are nice but too cold for winter. Falke are also nice.

Another vote for seasalt socks here. I actually spent ages going round the shops poking all the socks to find some of a decent thickness and softness, M&S have gone to the dogs with their socks, along with most of their products tbh. Long gone are the days when they were my go-to for my basics.

For everyday socks I wear Polarn O Pyret - I have small feet so wear children’s ones, but I think they go up into adult sizes. If you want socks that will literally last forever though, buy Darn Tough. Bit pricey initially, but they have a lifetime guarantee and I actually believe it! Only thing is they are more hiking type socks so quite thick.

When I've had "expensive" socks for gifts - Kidston, Seasalt, I've been really disappointed. I, honestly prefer my Primark ones and chose them over the others. Not a fan of Primark but their socks are great.

Like you I always used to but M&S, until recently when I bought a multi pack in the new year and every single one of them drove me nuts - there was no elastic in the ankle and they slipped down. I returned them.

Have bought a multi pack of H&M - would recommend them.

I am sock obsessed! Must have over 100+ pairs and my most recent ones are brilliant.
I wanted plain black ones but soft and bought the bamboo ones from Matalan and am very impressed with them.

I've tried many brands over the years and don't mind paying for good socks but these are cheap as chips for the quality ( iirc £5 for 4 pairs ) which is worth a try.

Seasalt socks are fabulous and often on offer.

@GreenEggsHamandChips I read your post as sperm hating feet Blush

Last year Aldi did some amazing bamboo socks with slight cushioning on the toes and feet, I'm waiting for them again.

I usually wear bamboo for work as my feet got sweaty but recently at a new place and my feet are definitely cold so need to look for somehting warmer
