Ideas for linen/ silk wedding anniversary

Hiya,

I’m posting in here although would welcome non S&B ideas as well.

It’s our 12th wedding anniversary this year which is linen/ silk and I’m after ideas please. Hubby is one of those men that’s tricky to buy for as he has everything. Silk ties, pyjamas, dressing gown - tick, linen suit, holiday tops etc. - tick

That sounds a bit as though he wears a lounge suit, cravat etc but he really doesn’t! He’s a stylish mid fifties man who works from home but does travel a lot and likes to look sharp and smart, Italian suits, shoes etc. At home it’s bog standard jeans and jumpers.

Has anyone got any ideas because I’m really stumped. As I say, it doesn’t need to be S&B but that fits most with the linen/ silk theme.

Budget up to £100 or so. Not much more because it’s our anniversary on 10th Feb and also it’s his birthday on Valentine’s Day so it’s a ridiculous few days of presents!

Thanks in advance!

I got my dh Patra silk thermals for Christmas. Linen guayaberas are nice for summer or if you have a warm holiday planned. Monogrammed linen hankies?

BeaLola · 25/01/2019 01:12

Monogrammed hankies

A restaurant near you with Silk in the name ?

If it were for you White Linen perfume by Estée Lauder - are there any aftershaves with Silk /Linen in the name

Sorry but didn't t want to read and run - hopefully some with good ideas will be alongside shortly

A bit ‘out of the box’ thought, but do you have a garden or outside space?
How about a Mulberry tree in a planter ? Silk worms feed on the leaves.
Or a linen covered garden chair.

Ooh thanks ladies for the ideas, I’m liking aftershave and things for the garden. That will keep me busy on google!

Silk/linen bed clothes? (Not easy for £100, I appreciate, but TK Maxx sometimes have things--or the January sales)

Not very gifty, though, given its for the house, I suppose.

What about washed linen or Irish Linen bed sheets?

Or a couple of pillow cases if you don't want to go whole hog.

Lots of linen things here:

This throw is just over £100:

Ooh, pillowcases are a good idea! Silk ones are meant to keep your hair and face from getting rumpled in bed and I guess they may also have a faint whiff of romance - ?
Pig, Chicken & Cow make the most beautiful silk scarves and pocket squares.

Just thought that I’d report back, thanks to you for all the ideas.

I’ve purchased a linen guayabera. I looked for aftershaves and couldn’t find anything but then had a brainwave, I was thinking that hubby could wear the guayabera when we go to China later in the year and then thought about how he loves to read about the history of countries that we visit so I’ve bought him a book on the history of the Silk Road in China.
