short hair ideas

am a bit fed up with layered bob and am toying with short hair cut, but don't want to look dull or frumpy -something cool,still with layers - any ideas ? I've got a squarish face,good cheekbones,strong jaw, longish neck,if that's any help, plus my hair is fair with a mixture of lights through it (will be having half head of foils at same time)

I love her - that might be a bit scarily short for me though !

How straight or wavy is your hair? If it's wavy (eg gets fluffy in the rain) it will probably go practically curly without weight (as I only remembered after I got a fringe cut.)

mmm,that's a good point Bouquet - it's fine and straight, but because it's fine it can go fluffy in the damp - however, I have had it short before and not noticed that as a particular problem as it seems to get thicker when short which holds it down...but of course hair does change with age etc and that was a while ago !
