I'm trying to get my hair to a nice blonde and bleached it last Friday.
Will it be ok to bleach again ?

Im not a hairdresser but i definitely wouldnt bleach so soon again (ive had bleach and bleach highlights for years)

Overwhelmed12 · 21/01/2019 14:49

Don’t do it go to someone who will put a toner in it perhaps!??

Wellfuckmeinbothears · 21/01/2019 14:51

Noooooo last Friday is way too close. You need to leave it at least 2 weeks between bleaches. Use olaplex number 3 three times a week. Put on towel dried hair, leave overnight then wash as normal the next day. But do not bleach it again yet.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 21/01/2019 14:52

I wouldn't bleach that again no. I'd go to a hairdresser and get it looked at and ask what the best course for going blonde would be as it's easy to damage hair.

WhoKnewBeefStew · 21/01/2019 14:54

No don’t bleach it again so soon.
A friend at work has a really short haircut so changes colours all the time. She did 2 bleaches in short succession and it did t end well. Her hair went all elastic and broke and when she brushed it, it snapped and made a right mess

WhoKnewBeefStew · 21/01/2019 14:54

Can you get a toner put in it. Maybe an ash blonde to tone down the yellow

Frequency · 21/01/2019 14:56

Your hair looks fine condition wise from that pic however bleach damage can take up to a month to show which is why salons always leave at least four weeks between appointments for lightening and also condition is shown more in the feel of your hair rather than the look.

I would honestly go to a salon if you need to bleach it again or you run a high chance of your hair ending up down the drain.

redsalive · 21/01/2019 15:32

Yeah think I'm going to leave it.
It's very dry but thankfully not elastic or anything.
I've bought some smartbond and I'm hoping that helps.

Next time your hair is wet, take one strand of hair and wrap it between your 2 forefingers, and pull gently apart, and then relax back. Hair in good condition should stretch and return, bad condition will stretch and stretch and snap easily.

Angelicwings · 21/01/2019 20:51

I would leave it too. Not worth taking the chance of loads of breakage. Hair takes such a long time to grow back.
