Liz Earle or The Ordinary skincare?

I've never had proper skincare before. I have a Nivea moisturiser and take my makeup off with a baby wipe. I have very dry, pale skin with forehead/smile lines (despite being young) and redness around the nose. Both of these brands seem good value for money and I don't want to spend lots if I don't get on with the product so can anyone recommend either brand or a different one that's not too expensive and if they have any good products for dry skin? TIA

Liz Earle is full of fragrance, a massive problem for skin

Shows how we all differ. Never brought me out in spots or soreness - my skin is quite senstive as well as my eyes. I can even use it around my eyes. No problem!

I have dry sensitive skin, type 1 rosacea and eczema. I have to be very careful these days what I use. Years ago I used Liz Earle no problem but I can no longer use it.

I have to use unscented products now so tend to stick to a more basic regime. I do use azeliac acid (finacea) for my rosacea which works well. Currently I’m using CeraVe hydrating cleanser and cream, with spf every day.

Depending on finances I tend to go between E45, Superdrug pure unscented, Avene, CeraVe, La Roche Posay, and Simple. I also have The Ordinary rosehip seed oil which I use a couple of times as week at night.

You will find what works for you. Just because something works for someone else doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for you, unfortunately it can just be trial & error.

Cleanse and polish makes my eyes water, it’s probably the essential oils, it never used to but I really can’t use it now
