I've just used a home balayage kit - and it didn't go too badly (I'm on a no spend 2019!)

I'd been debating what to do with my hair as my highlights grew out. I kind of wanted to embrace my natural hair colour which is mid brown before it goes completely grey (I'm about 15 per cent according to one hairdresser). I'd been growing out bleached (Aveda) highlights and I saw several kits in Boots on the reduced shelf. there were loads of them. So IO boufght them. I've just tried one - doing the bits around my face and my fringe and it's only subtle but it actually looks okay. I'm tempted to go in again as I bought 5 kits but I'm going to leave it a few weeks till I have my next trim. I think it went well because I only did a few strands and I kept the colour on 35 minutes and I kept an eye on it. When it started to go from orange to golden I washed it out. Anyway just thought I'd share it!
