I am liking the skirt thing and all

am thinking about wedges have ballet slippers but have feet like boats

but it is cold now and windy and have no idea what to wear on top that is not, well, wrong

big cardi no
little black cord jacket no
little cardi seems good but not right with collars (look like perky librarian)

this is kind of skirt thing

also need to replace white t shirts with something

need lower cut than strangleneck jobbie

What about a shirt then you can wear a smaller/thinner cardi.

Cappuccino · 29/06/2007 16:07

but cardis will pucker over shirt though surely?

when I have put the one cardi I do own on over my little linen shirt I look like I have been stuffed into a bag

just checked out monsoon for shirts and they suck.

Something like this maybe?
It will be a bit warmer.

Cappuccino · 29/06/2007 16:13

ooh yes that looks v nice

I am a cold person and I live near north west coast thus there is a Vicious Sea Breeze (even in my office it would seem)

ahh well scroll through their knitwear as theres loads similar.

I think that might be your best bet.

I have a similar one in yellow which I team up with A line skirts.
Shoes I would go for a kitten heel, pointy toe.

3 quarter sleeved, scoop neck T shirts, worn with or without (depending on temperature)a short sleeved cardigan on top - Dotty P's usually have quite nice cardigans which are shorter and more fitted than places like M & S.

MrsFish · 29/06/2007 18:12

iCOD has the right idea, if its that cold wear trousers/jeans and leave the skirts till its warmer

Gingermonkey · 29/06/2007 18:44

a ski suit over the top of the summer outfit, whip the ski suit off when you get indoors?

pollypeachum · 29/06/2007 19:07

scoop or halterneck top with 3/4 sleeved tie front cardi.
today however I am wearing similar combo with.....
... jeans.

Cappuccino · 29/06/2007 20:49

I am finally admitting that jeans were not Made for Me

my eldest has started to wear leg warmers - looks really good.

pollywollydoodle · 29/06/2007 21:06

a coat?

pollypeachum · 29/06/2007 21:36

if it is any consolation jeans are most definitely not made for me either, which sadly does not stop me wearing them. am saving up for a pair of Not Your
Ddaughters Jeans which are supposed to be a life enhancing experience.
DH thinks i am both profligate with money and deluded.
he is probably not wrong.
