Having climbed mountains unstylishly for years, I loved that thread.

Ah yes, i’ve looked back at the original thread, and yes she did say she had a couple of weeks to get sorted NotMeNoNo. So that would probably have made it this weekend. I live on the Yorkshire/Derbyshire border. It’s been extremely windy in the hills this weekend!

Hey!!! Thanks for the follow up interest but I'm afraid there is little good news to report.... Think i got a bit over excited.
It was never a date (just a potential opportunity) and unfortunately the invitation was extended to other work colleagues... ( intended target is v senior to me at work)...

So, 5 of us did Mam Tor from Castleton last Saturday. Conditions weren't great...but they were never going to be in January.
I was happy with my look ! and there were plenty of opportunities for getting to know each other.
I wore dark blue Merrell hiking shoes, 2 pairs(!) adidas running tights- the ink with 3 ink stripes on the outside, borrowed my son's(!) north face navy thermoball jacket- was v kind of him to lend me a new Christmas present) and a red Karrimor daysack. Hair in high pony. Subtle makeup - Chanel's Boy shade of lipstick was perfect- but not enough to raise the ire of Mountain rescue. Had fab sunglasses ready to complete look but it was so grey it would have been ridiculous to get them out.

Another outing has been mentioned, we'll see what happens.

Aaah, thanks for coming back @JulietAconite. I’m sorry for you that there is nothing to report, but It sounds like you looked pretty good! Nice of your son to lend you his jacket!
