Winter moisturiser advice

I'm after a recommendation for a good moisturiser that won't cause spots. I have combination skin which has always been prone to spots so haven't really bothered with moisturiser until last year. I have been using LRP Anthelios XL since the summer and it's been great, I've noticed an improvement in my skin. I could do with something for the winter though as my face is definitely tending to be drier now, and having hit 40, I think I should start taking care of it a bit better. Any advice for where to start?

I've been using Avène Skin Recovery cream this winter and it's been so lovely. Keeps my skin feeling really soft. I know not everyone likes mineral oil in skincare but it seems to suit me very well.

Hydration is key though, layer up with hydrating toners, hyaluronic acid, honey essences etc and then put on moisturiser to seal it all in. Then your moisturiser doesn't need to be heavy and potentially clog pores.

I like Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner and Etude House Soon Jung toner, Scinic Honey Ampoule, Avène Skin Recovery cream, Pyunkang Yul Balancing Gel (to seal in), Avène tinted sunscreen.

Re a day cream for you, a lot of combo/oilier skin ppl seem to like Avène Extreme Tolerance Emulsion or Clinique Moisture Surge.

I use a serum and then the ‘gorgeous’ moisturiser by lush, however if you’re after something cheap I’ve always found Nivea soft to me amazing!. I usually get the small one when I go on holiday so I don’t have to carry everything and it works wonders for my skin and gives me a natural glow

Highly recommend Estee Lauder DayWear for daytime. Fab under foundation. Shame about the price!

Body Shop Vitamin E emulsion is fab too, and a fraction of the cost.

I'm 37 with combi skin, and use these (and Nivea in the blue pot at night).

I use Bioderma Sensibio gel cream. It’s light, moisturizing and doesn’t make me shiny.

etna it's doing wonders so far. Skin finally feels soft and moisturised again!
