Jeans for skinny teenage boy

AuldAlliance · 11/01/2019 05:58

DS1 is 13 and a 5'8 beanpole.
He has some skinny jeans from Next with an adjustable elastic waist, which are great.
I've just ordered another pair and the cut is v different, so they bag round his thighs.
Where can I get a new pair?

We are in France, so it needs to be an international shop or one that ships here...
Any help gratefully received - it's quite tricky having a DS with just one pair of trousers that fit.
TIA

H&M's Superstretch Skinny Fit Jeans

Great, thanks!

Following because I have the same problem except my 15 year old son is 6" and has a 27" waist. He's currently wearing jeans that are an inch too short as we just can't find any to fit Blush

AuldAlliance · 11/01/2019 06:55

H&M ones are clearly popular, as they are sold out in most colours. Also, they go up to 1m70, and DS is 1m77, but he likes a rolled up hem, so maybe worth a try...

My son got from asda were really cheap if you cant get in boys or men's size try the ladies as they just the same..

Taffeta · 11/01/2019 06:57

My v skinny 15 yo DS wears Zara men's super skinny in the smallest waist size

AuntieStella · 11/01/2019 06:57

Uniqlo

The 29s are long enough for my 6ft+ skinny lad (IIRC inside leg is 34)

AuldAlliance · 11/01/2019 07:02

Thanks for all these. Off to the shops with him tomorrow for a trying on session, I think...

Mine wears those HM ones, size: age 14, youngest is 5ft10 and they are (still) long enough

Older DS wears Topman, very long and skinny jeans (6ft2 and waist 30)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/01/2019 07:52

My beanpole teen (19yo) wears H&M (he wears the slim fit -being really thin, the skinny ones just make him look skinnier!)

He's a 28" waist after a big meal and 5'10"

I need to look at the Uniqlo jeans but he'd need to try them on.

I have dragged him round all the mens shops before I found H&M.

BigGreenOlives · 11/01/2019 07:54

River Island have 26 & 28 waist sizes and different lengths. My 5’10 52kg son said some were too tight on his legs, I can’t imagine who they are for as he is as skinny as can be.

AuldAlliance · 11/01/2019 07:55

Thanks for the additional ideas, everyone.

Grin at all these tall skinny teenage boys.
Do you look at them and think "I produced a greyhound" ! Eat sleep and lard about in a tangle of limbs .

XingMing · 11/01/2019 10:04

Uniqlo sell them, not dear, well cut, wash and wear brilliantly. DS has two pairs.

Disfordarkchocolate · 11/01/2019 10:07

My daughter tells me all of her skinny tall male friends wear women's jeans for the fit, not persuaded my teen boy yet though. Last ones were Next skinny fit 26 waist, waist still ok but too tight on his thighs now! Been googling this morning so I will be following up some suggestions here.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 11/01/2019 10:54

All DS’s jeans came from the women’s section.

It's weird, that's for sure.
I think I've spawned a giraffe...
Sometimes I go to collect him from bi-weekly handball training and he seems to have grown since the previous session.

I'll see if I can talk him (or trick him) into trying on women's jeans.

My DS is pre teen, but very tall and slim and both H and M and Zara skinnies are what we have to buy. Nothing else fits properly.

MadamBuxton · 11/01/2019 14:30

Another mother giraffe here...DS is 15 and 6’4 with a 29” waist. Until recently we relied on Primark - they do skinnies in a 28 waist 34 leg if you rummage through the piles. Now moved on to ASOS tall for 30/36 which are also great but more expensive.

PosiePerkinandPootle · 11/01/2019 14:48

I got some for my DS (12) from Zara - needed 13-14 for length and the waist is pulled in as far as it goes. His big sis says they're not skinny enough but he's happy.

MoltonSilver · 11/01/2019 15:05

Abercrombie and Fitch do different lengths starting from a 26 inch waist.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 11/01/2019 15:26

DS13 is 5'11" and showing no signs of slowing down yet. Zara men's skinny jeans are cut fairly small, and the men's range at H&M tends to be cut for tall men, too, so we tend to use those. He struggles often though because his waist is so much smaller than his leg length. M&S does an extra-long range that's good for school clothes, too.

OnlyTeaForMe · 11/01/2019 15:53

ASOS - you can order by waist and length.
Order lots of different styles and send back the ones that don't fit.

River Island also good.

Panicmode1 · 11/01/2019 15:57

My 14 year old is just over 6ft with a tiny waist - we've had a few good pairs in Jack Wills, or bought jeans from gap.com (they don't sell them in Europe). It's a huge issue in our house - DH is 6ft 6 and needs a 36" leg which is almost impossible to buy in the UK (Gant, and Spoke are his go to brands).

(I keep thinking that there is a market for a Dutch jeans shop to open here - when I've been there, they do seem more than averagely tall Grin)
