Dry, brittle frizzy hair. Much needed advice

My hair is so dry and brittle. On one side, I can grow it but on the other and the back, there are sections which do not grow any longer than 5 cm. I want to know if this is a result of taking steroids for a complaint I get every few years or just a weird thing that happens to me. I have had it for a few years and wondered if it was a vitamin imbalance or because if the menopause. Anyone had anything similar? And any advice please?

Only take steroids every few years for about 8 weeks

I would say the steroids could well be a factor, as can menopause. Have you had blood tests done? You could try something like Perfectil to help strengthen your hair and also look at your diet (drinking plenty of water, eating a balanced diet including plenty of different vitamins and minerals, and reducing alcohol / smoking).

What is your haircare routine like?

I think my diet is ok. Plenty of veg and not so much sugar or fizzy drinks etc. I could drink more water. I wash my hair 3 times a week using shampoo and conditioner. It used to be much thicker and stronger.

Can you go down to twice a week? What products are you using? Is your hair frizzy as soon as it's washed? Do you use heat? What's your routine?

I used all of the hair masks, and they all are full one silicon which make the hair limp... you want to reconstruct your hair and nourish it. The natural products are the best for it... oil, eggs, vinegar and mustard is a base for the hair mask, where you could add coconut oil, or any other items you want.. this mask really helps my hair, rescued it and helped my bank.. as used to spend sooo much and was led by marketing campaigns.
