Are snoods terribly unstylish?

Just that really. The weather is getting chilly. I walk to work and want something to wear around my neck. I'm think the most fashionable type of scarf is one of those big plaidy wrap-around things, but I'm short and look like I'm wearing a blanket. Traditional scarves tent to trail and get caught in things, and add bulk. Snoods are neater, but could I wear them around the office too or should they always be left on the coat peg?

I want to be warm but not really old-fashioned.

My opinion is if it keeps you warm, wear it. Once at work I assume you take it off.

The snood I have is toasty.

I have a buff Smile Merino wool so not itchy and far more discreet than they look in the pics. I forget I'm wearing it and no one else really notices it either. Warm but not sweaty warm.

I love my snood. Unlike scarfs there is no danger of it getting caught in my wheelchair

I have this one in black and ADORE it.

To be honest, you can't tell it's a snood when worn under a coat/parka

I got a grey wool textured one from Accessorize and love it. Much neater on my short frame than a traditional scarf. Takes up less space in my bag too.

No! I've got a couple and I love them.

If it keeps you warm, that's what matters & if you like it - don't worry about what others may or may not think!

I have a buff one! So cosie!
