Recs for lovely bag large enough to fit laptop?

I've been going through the posts on handbags in the sales on here recently and have spent far too much time on the Coach, Osprey and Longchamp websites. BUT I don't think most bags would fit a laptop which is a must for me to justify that kind of money. Do you have any recommendations? Or should I just give up and get a separate boring laptop bag to go with a fancy handbag?

I've just had a big promotion and am planning on treating myself to a bag that looks like I mean business Grin

I use a Mulberry Brynmore messenger bag for my laptop, it’s about 8 years old now and going strong despite daily use. I think Mulberry have discontinued it now, but it was from their Men’s range, so it might be worth checking that out for larger, more practical bags.

Appreciate all the input, it's given me hours of browsing and mulling over choices. Who needs to be working on business plans and spreadsheets when there are handbags to shop for? Probably not the best attitude for the new job Grin

In my diligent browsing I came across British designer De Melllier, they have some rather nice laptop bags.

@Onefoot, some lovely bags there, I had never heard of the brand so thank you. I have a 14 inch/36 cm laptop so don't think it's fit. Maybe the hobo would work....

I have a clutch from Village England which I adore, it’s so well made and it always gets compliments.

This is a brilliant one from Michael Kirsty.

Has a big padded laptop section, holds loads, looks good and it’s on sale.

I’ve had my black one for years, and there’s not a scuff on it.

Should be Michael Kors. No idea who Michael Kirsty is!

The Knomo Maddox will definitely be big enough for a 14" laptop.

Can I ask you all another question, would you go for a black, tan or light grey bag? I'm very drawn to light grey but worry about practicality and whether it's more of a fad. Black is very professional looking but it is just a little boring. What would you go for?

I recently bought the mia tui "Sarah" laptop bag. It's vegan leather and looks great, has lots of compartments and is everything I need. I bought it in navy.

If you like Mulberry join the FB groups and have a look at some of the older styles. The old Bayswater tote, Roxanne tote (in black) Mitzy messenger are said to roomy.

The men's Coach and Mulberry messengers are 'plain' but have the nice leather

Other mulberry's that should fit are Blossom tote, oversized Alexa (but this might be heavy with all your stuff in),

Fossil are hardy too - think their Sydney or Emma is large
