Tell me about your hair (and show me if you like!)

Having recently had my hair done (cut and coloured) for the first time in about a year I've just spent a lovely indulgent time blowdrying it and not doing the housework so it's all naice. I worked in a job for years where I couldn't have my hair down so love having it styled nicely, it's super thick and somewhere between frizz and a lacklustre version of wavy without straightening, curling or such.

However, I know that by tomorrow it will have reverted to unruly and I probably won't straighten or curl it as I have DS to look after, more often than not even if it's 'done' properly I end up scraping it back in a pony tail anyway.

What's your hair like and any tips on nice but easy updos for when it needs to be up day to day? I also treated myself to some fancy shampoo and conditioner recently but theyre expensive s a one off so am interested in how you keep yours nice too. Everyone else hen im ot and about seems to have lovely hair!

I love a good hair cut and colour!! I’m the same I generally have mine put back most of them time but I will alternate so I may have a low bun, or I will have fish tail plait.

My hair is super long, natural brunette with balayage. I get that done once a year and cut every 8 weeks. When I have it down I tend to have it beach waves.

I forgot to add that I use Philip Kingsley hair products, which I love! I get the larger shampoo and conditioner sometimes they’ll have a great deal on qvc and it may include another hair products and the shampoo can last me around a year in the larger quantity, we all know conditioner last forever Grin

My brunette hair is just past shoulder length and currently very straight and shiny! I had a keratin treatment on it at the beginning of December and it now takes less than 10 mins to dry so that it's dead straight. It'll probably last another few months and I have to use a sulphate free shampoo.

On a less positive note, I'm probably around 80% grey but allergic to hair dye which means that I can't get it salon-coloured but have to use a slightly friendlier hair dye from Holland & Barratt (which still makes my scalp itch, but not as badly).

Have you had a look at Daniel Field hair dyes? They’re organic and free from certain chemicals, they look good and last ( I dont use but close relative does)

Thanks BF888 - I'm off to google right now!
