Long mousy dark dull hair with sparkly white hairs growing through all the time and a dandruff problem

Mid 30's and overweight by a lot so pixie type cuts are off or I will just look butch

A demi permanant colour to add shine and blend the greys, loreal casting creme gloss is a good savers/boots buy if you don't want to go to salon. Stick within one shade of your natural colour to avoid a harsh regrowth. Try not to use a .5 colour as they are quite reddish and can look very 'dyed' however a .15 is a nice mahogany. Or a .3 just adds a little warmth. Also YouTube videos are very good to see how to add ghd curls, using the straightenera to add a few waves. And a mask once a week- recommend maria nila or the loreal professional masks (often found in tk maxx) and a fresh trim!

And for shampoo you don't want to have anything too drying- try an extra moisture one for dandruff and use paul mitchell shampoo 3 once or twice a week its very cleansing.

Just get it cut to your shoulders with some long layers.

My DD had horrendous dandruff recently, I mean just awful. I read somewhere to use head and shoulders and stand in the shower with it on for 5 minutes without rinsing. We tried it and it cleared up in one go. You could give that a try.

Btw your hair is not mousey, it is a lovely brown! I have mousey hair and off to get low lights tomorrow; trying to attempt your colour.

A few curls might give it some body.

Just ask for it to be cut and styled with layers, framing round the face and a deep condition. You'd be surprised at the difference!
