Fallen in love with this dress - and they don’t have my size

I’m going to be a bridesmaid at a very laid back wedding and the bride has given us some dresses to pick from - this one is my absolute favourite and I’ll wear it again and again... the issue is they don’t have my size! I’d need a 14/16 (could even attempt to lose my Christmas weight and Spanx into a 12!) but they just don’t have my size. Has anyone seen anything similar? I’m currently scouting EBay and Depop for it to no joy - debating biting the bullet and ordering the maternity version and trying to alter it; but I don’t know how easy that would be

Maternity wouldn't be hard to alter. Would probably just need to bring the hem up at the front a bit. Would definitely be better than squashing into something too small and uncomfy!

I'd just wait a bit OP, ASOS stock fluctuates all the time do it could come back into stock anyway , i'd also probably order the maternity one in the meantime to see if I liked it as much in person/satisfy the craving.
Just to note- I ordered this (because i love it!) and tried it on and it was very low cut, the bottom of the band was below where my bra started so it's pretty tricky to wear one, and is why I sent it back, quite a lot was out . I don't think it really shows on first glance in the images as the model is smaller of chest! It also showed a knicker line at the back as its a thin fabric. Obviously if it's for a wedding there's all sorts you can do about that quite easily but just thought I'd point it out as if tried it on - I know everyone's body is different etc etc. Hope you manage to find one!

Wishlist it in a 14 and a 16 and check it every day. ASOS stuff frequently comes back in.

In the meantime order the maternity.

I tried on a bunch of those embroidered ASOS dresses before Christmas for my Xmas party and the quality was shocking tbh.

So you're gonna have to buy a black slip for underneath and have to alter it a bit anyway. Those things are very low, and very thin. So you may as well buy the maternity and alter it.
