Best hair products for thick flyaway hair

I have tackled my skin this year and seem to have found products that suit me. I'd really like to try and do the same with my hair. I've never really known what to do with it. It's shoulder length, thick and prone to frizziness. It tends to be shiny but it's also flat and really slippery so it doesn't hold volume or style (even when hairdressers spend ages blow drying it).

I think I need products to make it hold some kind of shape but I don't know where to start. Perhaps some kind of mousse? At the moment to use serum to tame the frizz but then I ignore it and look like a scruffy-frizzy mess by the end of the working day.

Can anyone help with product recommendations? Thanks!

You mention that your hair is shoulder length, is it layered or shaped round your face. Have you looked at the babyliss big hair dryer? It shapes and smooths my hair.

It has long layers in and is slightly shakes around my face.

I had looked at the babylis big hair but don't have one.

Sounds like it might be worth a try. I just wonder whether I still need products to help it keep its shape?
