A good look for hiking?

I'm going to climb a mountain with a man I secretly fancy madly. What on earth can I wear to look like a genuine proficient walker, yet still look hot?

Bright waterproof jacket and the rest all black and not loose. Nice hiking boots or all terrain trainers.

Veterinari Thanks for the link to the update. We've all been there, well not literally, but you know what I mean Smile

Tanaqui · 27/03/2019 06:04

Glad I saw the update! And definitely think I need to update my outdoor wardrobe!

FinallyHere · 27/03/2019 07:07

@Tanaqui

I read about https://www.protected-species.com here on MN, just live the jacket. I wear it to work as well as walking and honestly, I find my heart lifting when I notice it's raining so I get to wear it.

Oh, yes, wait for a sale, they seem to do a half price offer reasonably regularly.

In my experience, how hot you look will be determined largely by the weather. My wife has a very good figure but resembles a sack of spuds when out on a wet weekend walking in Wales.

Oh! Thank you, MrsDevlin and Veterinari!

I can't believe I missed this thread. I'm dying to know how you'll get on.

If it helps in the seduction stakes, I jokingly offered to mud wrestle DH when we were hiking before we got together. It was obvious joking because it was a very smelly bog but we've been together about 18 years now Grin

A decent backpack will make your carrying less effort and prevent uphill hunch

FlaviaAlbia · 27/03/2019 11:03

Oh, just saw the update Blush

Scrap my idea. Offering to mud wrestle a more senior colleague is probably a bad career move...

I have a pair of the Acai trousers and whilst they're certainly comfy and very flattering they're also very long. Even the short length are a bit long on me and I'm not that small at 5ft4. All the promo pictures have them rolled up at the bottom under the socks.
