The girls decided to tell me right as we went out the door their wellies are too small. We have a dog so are in constant use. Few different options in the sales but want recommendations. I showed them bogs they both turned their noses up. They also have crocs pull on boots which are very comfy apparently but no good for paddling in the sea and a bitch to clean.

Budget I would prefer below hunter prices!!!

They are 6 and 9 and sizes 12 and 3 respectively so adult 3. Tia

Good selection here:

www.happylittlesoles.co.uk/products/girls/footwear/wellington-boots.html

We’ve had the Aigle lollipop ones and been very happy with them. Now have the Melton ones which are lovely and solid and warm, but a bit too clunky sometimes. I like the look of the Mikk line ones there but haven’t tried them.

Thanks that site is great. Dd1 rejected them all though grrrr

My dd wears her dr martens for everything they're really hard wearing she can walk for miles in them and they're waterproof.

BakerBear · 01/01/2019 20:52

Just get them a size bigger than they already have if they are very fussy

Queenofthedrivensnow · 01/01/2019 21:13

They have glittery hunters just now: only bought them in the summer. Dd1 feet seem to grow v fast so reluctant to spend that much again so soon.

We use crocs. Comfortable and very light weight

BikeRunSki · 01/01/2019 21:21

Spotty Otter wellies are excellent. You can remove the insole wge. They get a bit small to get an extra half size. They last for ages - my dc have always grown out out of them, rather than worn them out.

Neverunderfed · 01/01/2019 21:21

I just buy mine bog standard green ones from the local country store. 🤷

Queenofthedrivensnow · 01/01/2019 21:22

@Sammy867 that's a good call actually and they are in blue and green Which are their favoured colours and only £20. You may have cracked it!!

Thanks everyone I am very much in the pick your battles mode and I can't be doing with them being difficult about wellies when we have to wear them most days. Super lightweight will really help

We have a variety but the ones my daughter like are the old muck boot company. We get them in the sale mind you but good for her narrow feet

We gave up on wellies and bought boots like this...

www.mountainwarehouse.com/kids-whistler-snow-boots-p11658.aspx/cobalt/

Depends how much proper puddle jumping they want to do as they are only waterproof up to the ankles but more comfy than wellies and great for Winter.

My youngest has lived in her woofwear.com boots for the last 18 months - stood up to the Beast-from-the-East in our field/stables no problem.
