Something for dd 16 to wear on NYE?

She is going to a party at her boyfriend's parents house. Wants something a bit sparkly but appropriate, not too daring. She is tall - 5'8'' and blonde. Size 8-10. Not too expensive and ideally high street wear.

My DS has a party for his 16th. Lots of the girls wore high waisted, wide legged trousers, with tight-ish tops and heels. They looked stunning and party ish, without too much skin on show.
Others wore mini skirts, boob tubes etc and also looked great, but she may feel a bit self conscious at a family party.

Tesco had cute sparkly play suits last week - maybe with black tights under if too short. Or they had sparkly tops to go with black skinny jeans?

These are the type of outfits I mean...

Thank you. Those look quite elegant for a young whippersnapper. Dd is very well endowed though and could not wear a boob tube type thing.

New Look had loads of lovely jumpsuits, some with a wrapover top. I was eyeing them up myself!

Yes, the girls at DS party looked elegant. I was quite impressed. I was definitely not elegant at that age and had little clue as to how to put myself together.
With their hair and makeup done too they looked glam but not OTT.
She could wear any type of top really, just snug fitting to offset the looseness of the trousers, and show off her lovely young figure.

Asos is worth a look. I think trousers and a sparkly top is a great look for someone her age.

Jumpsuit from asos. Loads in the sale.

Monsoon have some gorgeous party dresses just now. DD got a lovely one, sparkly/floaty but not too low cut.

I don't know if this is a bit grown up but this i like this look

Asos have lots of sequin bodys too.

For her age try missguided
Pretty little things
Not the greatest of quality but perfect for fashion wear and do good co ord sets.
I second the outfits above flare/ wide leg trousers with fitted top
Or leather look legging/trousers "theoutfitscrapbook" on Instagram is a good page for outfit ideas x

What is her style like generally?

Would recommend looking at New Look, they have nice partywear. Or even H&M

BeCozReasons · 27/12/2018 18:47

Too much sparkle ?
It doesn't look too short or boobie
