Would you buy an expensive(ish) bag in nubuck leather?

I've got my eye on one in the sale but I'm worried it'd show up every single scuff and water mark.

The other option is the same colour but in pebble leather which would probably be a lot more hardwearing but I don't love the look of it as much.

Any tips or wisdom please? Smile

I would
And I’d use spray protector

JinglebellsJulie · 23/12/2018 17:11

I hadn't even thought about using a protector... Grin

I would always get the pebbled leather.

I wouldn't. Mine went smooth and shiny where it rubbed against me. Then it looked scruffy.

I get the bag desire thing! But I agree that it would look scruffy very quickly and then you would have the bag sadness Blush

Bum, this is what I would be afraid of. Bag sadness indeed Sad

So it seems the pebble one is about £50 more than the nubuck one, perhaps that's why.... the nubuck ones are harder to shift so are cheaper!

Oh this brings me back. I bought a nubuck bag a hundred years ago - I looked and agonized for ages (it was expensive).
Finally I bought it. And yes, it went a bit shiny and got the odd mark but I loved loved loved it and I never, not once, regretted buying it.

There’s my tuppence worth! Not the most helpful but indulge my nostalgic moment!

Bottomplasters · 23/12/2018 21:27

We need to seeee it!

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 23/12/2018 22:06

Need to see it! If I loved it I would probably still buy it. But I don’t baby my bags and I try to take scuffs/scratches/wear philosophically.
